Eleanor Clausen
Co-founder & CEO
Eleanor Clausen has a diverse background in clinical nursing, research and education in both public and commercial organisations. Her experience and implementation of change management concepts began with the Patient Focused Care re-engineering project in Neurosciences in 1994, which was rolled out across multiple regional health boards. This project introduced the first advanced nurse practitioner and nurse specialist roles into Scotland. Her work with the design and development of the Edinburgh Pain Assessment Tool (EPAT) was validated in national cancer centres in the United Kingdom and has been implemented globally.
A latter role within pharmaceuticals industry education saw Eleanor collaborate with the regional clinical health networks on a variety of projects which delivered improved patient outcomes at strategic and local levels.
Since emigrating to Australia in 2010, Eleanor has continued her analysis of healthcare service delivery. This inspired her to create the 3C Approach™–seven philosophical pillars to deliver coordinated collaborative care, which is the infrastructure of all the companies she has founded, including The International Spine Centre®, One Stop Specialists and 3D Research.
Passionate about education and sharing her knowledge, Eleanor was formerly on the national teaching faculty for AO Spine Asia-Pacific and continues to teach and present today. She is a member of the The Executive Connection (TEC), a global network and personal development organisation for chief executives.
Eleanor has collaborated on a variety of academic publications and is an accomplished international speaker. She continues to accept invitations to present at international and national conferences.
